All Nokia devices to have NFC from now on, will play well with others

The world's largest handset maker by volume announced at its Hong Kong presentation that all of Nokia's devices will have an NFC chip inside going forward, which will certainly help to spearhead the adoption of this technology...

Minor point, I know, but Nokia sells approx. 100million phones per quarter, not per year (although it was below 100million in Q2); approx. 100million SMARTphones per year (although again the figure was below that annualised rate in Q2).

Thanks, Mad Iguana, for pointing that out - meant 100 million smartphones per year, not phones, as it doesn't seem clear if the most basic featurephones will have NFC too...
