Alcatel expands Android lineup with four One Touch POP smartphones

Recently, Alcatel presented its latest high-end and mid-range Android smartphones - the One Touch Hero, One Touch Idol Alpha, One Touch Idol X, One Touch Idol S, and One Touch Idol mini. The company, however, also has something to cover the entry-level segment with. Introducing the new additions to Alcatel's POP series: the Alcatel One Touch POP C1, POP C3, POP C5, and POP C7. All of them are powered by Android 4.2 and come in a variety of pretty colors. Size and specs, however, are what set them apart...

The biggest drawback about Alcatel's phones is the low RAM. Seriously, even low-ends can go 768 MB to 1 GB of RAM. Nonetheless, everything seems nice.

512MB of RAM seems fit only for the C1, after that it makes the device seriously crippled on such a demanding platform

Exactly... It's not like RAM is something all that expensive.

Oh Well... I ask the same thing about my iPad Mini almost every day, though the likely answer is that some companies just do enough to get by and Nothing Else.

From a guy who was complaining about the Note 3s antutu score. I wouldn't take you too serious. Someone's gonna buy these. Maybe not many but remember there's a market for everything.
