Alcatel OneTouch named the official phone, tablet partner of the LA Galaxy and the Stub Hub Center

While most sports fans in the U.S. are more excited about the pennant races brewing as we head into the home stretch of the 2015 regular season for Major League Baseball, there is an exciting match-up televised nationally today involving Major League Soccer. The NYCFC is taking on the LA Galaxy, the defending MLS Champions, and the most successful franchise in the history of the league.

Fans attending the game at the Stub Hub Center will be able to test out and win Alcatel OneTouch devices before and during the game. In fact, fans attending Galaxy home games for the next few years will have the opportunity to win Alcatel OneTouch devices. The Galaxy and Alcatel have announced a multi-year partnership that makes Alcatel OneTouch the official phone and tablet of both the LA Galaxy and the Stub Hub Center. The latter is the stadium where the team plays its home games. As part of the deal, one Galaxy player will be used by Alcatel to help promote its devices. That player's name will be announced next year.


While financial details were not announced, the deal includes "pre-game fan experiences, in-game fan engagement, social media and digital campaigns, in-game brand advertising, in-market promotions and community engagement." According to IDC, for the second quarter of this yer, Alcatel was the fifth largest mobile phone manufacturer in North America.
