Now that's interesting. It looks like we have another company planning on having a bite of the Windows Phone pie. The company in question is Alcatel-Lucent, and the device it is about to enter WP territory with is a smartphone that will be marketed under the One Touch brand...

I could see this on budget carriers and MVNOs. Seems well suited for the likes of straighttalk and such

4 gb memory
- space for system files, so we have like 2-2,5 gb and no sd

4gb's ? If i am Alcatel i downgrade the camera to 3.2mp . Just like what samsung did to the Galaxy Y . The Y has a 2mp camera to keep the price down , thats the cheapest android thingy . But the screen is terrible, the speakers are terrrible and the camera too . But this alcatel will be better just that wp7 will not have expandable memory so 4gb is not enough . Or maybe they can use a 800mhz CPU like on Lumia 610

At the moment, Alcatel sells cheap Androids in emerging markets at about $250 price point. The WP7.8 Alcatel One-Touch View is definitely geared towards the same emerging/developing/underdevelop markets they're in in right now with their cheap Androids. The advantage of WP7.5/7.8 is that it runs absolutely great on 1GHZ single-core with 512MB of RAM. As for the 4GB of storage, I don't think the intended market will complain much about that, especially if they can save their pics in SkyDrive.
Oh yes, this particular market take lots of pictures with their phones - and the 5MP shooter takes care of that! I should know because I live in the Philippines, and had the Alcatel Android! I'm now using the HTC Radar and love it!

I think markets like this takes photo casually for fun . I dont think they will use data plan so if they upload their photos to skydrive they cant show it to friends and family on the go .
So like a say downgrade the CPU and camera but increase to storage to 8gb
