Alcatel One Touch Star hands-on

It is a 4-inch device and that makes it great for one-handed use. The spec highlights include the 4-inch WVGA AMOLED (PenTile) display, a 5-megapixel auro-focus camera with LED flash and a 1GHz dual-core processor.

In the hand, the Alcatel One Touch Star does feel very plasticky, even in its 'brushed aluminum'-like finishes and it is slightly hefty. The keys respond well to touches and colors on the screen are nicely saturated. Firing up the device, it run the built in Android fluidly, with no lag. What we didn't like so much, though, was the slow camera and the shots themselves looked mediocre at best.

The One Touch Star has a 1,500mAh battery that should last a day and it is expected to have both a single and dual-SIM versions. We took the white version for a spin, take a look below.
