Adobe and Microsoft teaming up to get Flash on Windows Phone 7 Series?
When Microsoft announced that there would be no support for Flash 10.1 on the Windows Phone 7 Series at launch, it sounded like the same old story. Once again, it looked like Windows powered mobile phones were going to be eclipsed in functionality by Android and others. But now comes word from Mike Chambers, the Senior Product Manager for Developer Relations at Adobe, that confirms recent talk that the OS will indeed support Flash eventually. The two software companies have been meeting and are "working closely together" to bring Flash to IE on the Windows Phone 7 Series. First, of course, the new OS needs to be properly launched which should happen by the end of this year. Then, if the talks prove successful, the new Microsoft OS will let you view all of the flashing, animated ads that you're currently missing.
