As much as Motorola and Verizon are keeping things on the down low with this beauty, two new leaks provide more evidence that we’re nearing an eventual launch. First and foremost, we’re presented with a leaked document that visibly...

I can't wait for next Thursday .... and I also got confirmation from avow rep that it will come out on the 8th and that it will be $249

Wow 249? Really? If that's true, ill be getting a dock for it too. I REALLY wanted a SGS2 but Verizon's supposedly getting the almighty Nexus Prime which unfortunately i cant wait it out for. My Droid X has served me well tho. Lol

How will you be eligible for $249 price if you have a droid X? Didn't the droid x get released just over a year ago?

I too have the Droid X and bought it launch day last July. I have been up for an upgrade since June 3rd of this year, I update my phone every 11 months on a two year contract for like the last 4 years with the exception of this year, because I'm waiting for something really impressive.

i'm going to Costco to get mine. $300 for the car dock, the multimedia dock and a spare battery and charger. the accessories alone is half of that.

he lied... pricing is not yet available for the Bionic. That was more than likely a gestimate you took to heart.

The rep was wrong, I'm afraid. Listen up, Droid Bionic enthusiasts: 30min ago I went to a new VZW store in my area that I hadn't been to before; just wanted to confirm that they'd receive the phone on the 8th & check what time they opened. You can place pre-orders in the stores NOW (apparently stores have been taking pre-orders for at least the past few days). The phone is priced at $299.99. If you pre-order, you pay the $299.99 up front; if you're due an upgrade discount, it'll be refunded to you on the day you pick up the phone (minus applicable sales tax).
BTW I had a chance to play with a Bionic, too. Not too shabby. Yeah the design is basic/plain as heck. But it's not totally humungous & actually felt comfortable in my medium-sized hand; not too heavy, either. I'll admit I'm no fan of the Blur stuff, but the operation is snappy & I didn't encounter any lapse when rotating the phone & opening/switching through apps.

I wonder how long until amazon drops the price. I think the gs2 excites me a bit more.

It's gonna be this or the Prime, my X didn't take too kindly to 2.3 and Froyo is not nearly as good.
I think an unlocked bootloader will make or break the bionic for me. if it's locked I'll wait a month for Prime, if it's unlocked I may opt to buy it.

I am curious how well the Bionic is going to sell. The fact that VZW is taking a pass on Sammy's GSII hints that there is something else in the pipeline that will eclipse the GSII. Plus the pending release of a new iPhone should further dampen what could have been a sales success if the Bionic had been released back in 2Q of 2011.
I wonder if this is the classic example of a day late and a dollar short?

Try 180 days too late. This would have been great last March but now sort of shma. Now I need to see the galaxy note or at least the Verizon version of it.
