Definitely in the market for an 8 inch tab but ideally it'll have a 1920x1200 resolution. 1024x768 isnt worth looking at regardless of the OS.

1024 x 768 these days doesn't cut it anymore...this one screams overpriced .... i'd rather buy a China knock off which sports a more powerful innards and a beyter LCD.

I sold my ipad 3 for my S2 I personally no longer see the purpose for tablets. Tablets after all are a pseudocategory envisioned by microsoft in a presmartphone age.
Sorry but the phone app is mighty important and a large device like the Note2 is the best of both worlds (dont believe all the anti-phablet hype).
In Europe I understand that many tablets do have phone capabities the Euro version of the first Galaxy Tab was like that and it makes it far more versatile than just a plain jane tablet.

1024x768? In 2013? It would sell only with an Apple logo on its back.

Sorry, but the 5in smartphone replaces them all.

Not true anymore... the Nexus 7 is a great device, with affordable price but great performance and hi-res screen, and perfect size for many, even better than the ipad mini IMHO.

It's not ugly, it's just the screen's resolution and pixel density are low, at least make it 200 ppi or 190 ppi, not 162 ppi.
