Yup.
Tablet = W8
SmartPhone = iOS/Android
FeaturePhone = Symbian

hey I just met you
and this is crazy
but a feature phone can hold over 20Mpx camera
and a smartphone can't

Well, who said feature phones are crap? It's just a category. Like in boxing: lightweight, heavyweight, etc. Being a heavyweight doesn't make you a better boxer than a lightweight.

Where is Nokia ?
Why was there a pact between Microsoft and Nokia ? where is its results and effects ?
Miscrosoft should offer something special to Nokia, but they don't.
Damn Elop... I hate you.
Nokia should produce its unique operating system like Apple and Blackberry. Otherwise, Miscrosoft and Elop would ruin it.
Microsoft, just remember that: The market share of Windows Phone was almost nothing before the launch of Nokia Lumia, and I bought Lumia because I love Nokia and I trust them (Not because I like Windows Phone). In fact, Millions think the same way I do.
I wish Nokia had adopted Android two years before. If that happened, we could see Android market share surpass 80%.
Once again, damn Elop ...I AVERSE you .

You bought a lumia because you love Nokia but hate WP. Huh? You want Nokia to develope their own OS yet you wished they adopted Android. What the? You're a friggin clown dude and the millions don't agree with you. If they do, there must be a millions clowns out there.

I've never said that I hate Wp, But I mentioned many options that Nokia had or still have in order to re - control on the phones market share. They have a great reputation and many many people trust what they make, so sticking with just Windows Phone after killing Symbian and Meego is not the savior factor for Nokia.

AWESOME! The pricing is killer also, can't wait to test drive one! I wonder what ASUS has up its sleeve.

Yeah, they can be, but we also don't know the specs for these two tablets yet. The W700 is definitely running x86, and I'm guessing the W510 is as well. Tablets running ARM processors should be significantly cheaper.
Also, keep in mind, these tablets are essentially laptops if you use a keyboard dock. I could ostensibly take one of these to work, do everything I need to do there, and then take it back home and just sit it back into my dock.

Agreed completely. Tablets, Slates and convetibles running Windows 8 RT will be significantly cheaper and are the ones that people should use to compare with Apple iPads...

i for one dont need a laptop anymore. i am not a heavy gamer and nor a hevy user that does video editing and stuff but the ipad and android tablets didnt have the usb ports and other connectivity stuff so they didnt cut it. now i am gonna buy the w700 if asus and sammy are late to join the w8 tablet party. and bluestacks will allow me to use android apps so i am very excited. cant wait to get my hands on a w8 tablet

finally something to replace my hp pavilon tx1000 with.

alos note that at 799 the average consumer will just buy the ipad. At 200 bucks cheaper for the 16GB wifi one. microsoft has to remember that there trying to take the market from the leader apple. why would you try to sell your product for more than you competiton. especially when there the market leader.yes windows will be great but this price is not right.
26. McLTE posted on 04 Jun 2012, 09:22 1 0
This is awesome.. however, I don't see this putting any significant dent into the stranglehold that Apple has on the pad industry.
What MS needs to do is put something like this to market at a price point slightly UNDER where the iPad is.
It doesn't matter how much more capability this has.. I don't think the majority of consumers will care. They will be excited to be able to do some windows things on a pad like this, but if it's more expensive than an iPad, then people will just look at these Windows8 pads as dreams.
I was hoping for a lower price.

Holy prices. And they want to take on the 600$ iPad? These better be as good as my laptop.
30. andyboi_ph posted on 05 Jun 2012, 23:52 0 0
wait a minute, it costs over $600? i might as well go for new IPAD if i want to spend more than $500 or IPAD mini (coming soon) which is rumored to be less than $299
