Well, what do you know – the Acer Iconia B1 has been officially announced just minutes ago, exactly as we expected. For those of you who haven't been following the news lately, what we're dealing with is a tablet that has nothing to impress you with other than its price tag. Interestingly, pricing is one of the few details that have not been pinned yet – all we know is that Acer will ask less than $150 for the Iconia B1. But when it comes to hardware specs, on the other hand, we've got it pretty much all laid down...

I will not buy this tablet unless it is below $100.

With those specs, I'd say it will go for $100, no more, no less. It's very difficult to imagine a sub-$100 Acer tablet these days, no matter how underwhelming its hardware is.

$100 sounds like a sweet spot to me. It seems like its goin after the cheap E-Reader crowd that wants to be able to play angry birds too.

512mb of ram and a less than HD screen is good for a budget tablet but high end tablets now come with a budget price. Acer this will not sell. $100 for sure it will.
