You can scream and be sarcastic all that you want over there, but I've had 2.1 with multi-touch since for quite a while now with Gingerbread on its way... Woho

Would you rather have 1.6 or 2.1? That's right, so stop with the whining and thank Sony Ericsson for updating their devices. They even announced 2.3 for the X10.
AT&T's service however, is a different story. I never buy any carrier-locked device :)

I just upgraded my x10 with the android 2.1 os update yesterday, and I noticed that the animations are definitely smoother and also with the software update, came Yahoo mail support, which is something that the 1.6 os was lacking. My phone was often unresponsive at times and the touchscreen had to be tapped multible times to select an icon or option. That was an issue with 1.6, but it doesn't seem to be an issue with 2.1. Overall, I am definitely happy with the software update, though, I like many would have liked it better if we were able to upgrade to 2.2 or, better still, 2.3. Hopefully Sony and at&t don't hold out on those updates, like they did this one, but I wouldn't suprized if they did. I'm happy for now, anyway.
