AT&T's Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 edge+ are now being updated to Android Nougat

Not long after Sprint updated its Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to Android Nougat, AT&T this week started pushing a Nougat update to its own version of the Note 5 (N920A).

According to AT&T's official Galaxy Note 5 support page - see the source link below - the new update brings Android 7.0 Nougat (not 7.1) to the handset, and includes the March security patch. Users are also getting two pre-loaded apps (Samsung Cloud and Samsung Pass), plus improvements related to network performance. Moreover, the update is removing some apps, including AT&T Address Book, AT&T Live, and MobiTV.

The Android 7.0 Nougat update for AT&T's Galaxy Note 5 weighs in at about 1.57 GB. While the update is officially being rolled out starting today, April 11, not everyone will get it right away.

At the moment, it's not clear if the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will also be updated to Android 7.1 Nougat, but we're going to let you know as soon as we find out.
