Typical ATT..."our customers will have (insert new/interesting/basic/obvious feature here)...soon". What a joke! I can't believe people actually support a company like this! And to think, just when ATT is "supposed" to be turning on THEORETICAL 7.2, VZW will have 30 or so markets up and running LTE! Am I missing something, or does ATT just not seem to get IT?! They're so fucked when they lose iPhone exclusivity. I'd love to be a fly on that CEO's wall when that realization comes crashing in.

yea i agree with u at&t is a fucking joke i also cant believe why people still support at&t . like for example were i work everyone bitches n talks so much shit about at&t service but they all have iphones 3G just cause they wanna look cool.. i have t-mobile and i have the mytouch 3G personally i hate the phone design but t-mobiles 3G is soooooo much faster than at&t.. i love how fast it is . also the people with iphones always have to borrow my phone when they have to make a call or check their email cause something is always wrong with their At&t service like i mean ALWAYS! ! i think its funny n i make fun of them..i dont know why at&t has those commercial that say fastest 3g Network .. if their 3G network is a joke have they actually ever tested it and see how it really is??? even when i have edge on t-mobile its still much faster than my friends on at&t. i know some people say t-mobile has crappy coverage n this n that n that t-mobile roams alot . n honestly i have not have any coverage problems with t-mobile n not once have i been roaming. i had perfect service with t-mobile in the grand canyon, tulsa oklahoma , texas ,puerto rico ,vegas n not once was i roaming i was covered by t-mobile even if i didnt get 3G in alot of places but i at least had edge n when i went to the grand canyon my phone dropped down to gsm and gprs but still said t-mobile on the screen . so i was still covered by t-mobile n i couldnt believe it that i was actually covered by t-mobile in the middle of nowere calling n text worked fine and 3 of my friends with iphones 3G on at&t their phones said no service. so again they had to borrow my phone to call and send messages

Really? May be area specific, T-Mobile 3G is over twice as slow as AT&T(on EDGE).

AT&T won't collapse when they lose the iPhone, they still have some good phones like the Bold 9700. Also in certain area's they have loyal customers who have never experienced a different provider. As for TMobile, I'm surprised your phone is that much faster then an AT&T phone. I've ran speed tests on AT&T vs VZW tethered and found that they were both fairly comparable here in Dallas. I do drop calls a lot on AT&T and coverage in any rural area's is bad. I will never give up my VZW due to the coverage, but honestly I'm not impressed with the phones, customer service, or price. I by far think the Blackberry Bold 9700 is the best Blackberry out there and I hope the Essex can compete.

well i live in long beach california were at&t is horrible . it may be good in dallas but in LA IS HORRIBLE ....

on a normal 3g basis, VZW is technically faster than Tmobile. tmobiles 3g WAS 1.5mb/s and VZW is 3.0. I beleive ATT is like 2.0mb/s in most of their limited 3g area. There are only a few cities that ATT has the "7.2mbs" speed, which never gets that high anyways. Of course, Tmobile announced yesterday that its flipping the switch so that ALL of its 3g area is 7.2 as of yesterday. I havent seen the speed bump yet on my Cliq, but it should be comming shortly. so in short VZW = best coverage overall, widest 3g coverage by far Tmobile = widest "7.2mbs" coverage, less total coverage than VZW, more than ATT. Making it americas "fastest network in way more places than ATT" lol ATT = FAIL. LOL. This year, VZW launches LTE, which is going to be crazy fast. Tmobile is going to reup from 7.2 to 21 in most all of its network.. ATT is going to.. keep working on upgrading to 7.2.. maybe.. lol

At least ATT is admitting it instead of other providers finding out themselves when there service is acting up. But yeah ATT why annouce something that most likely won't be in place til the end of the year. Dodo birds
