AT&T to get a new iPhone this summer?
We aren’t quite sure if you have already had enough time with the iPhone 3G, but as some rumors say, a new successor to Apple’s highly popular phone is coming. According to BGR, the U.S. carrier AT&T is to continue its tradition of renewing the iPhone line each year and as it seems, the next addition should be expected sometime around the middle of June. A few words about what is “known” of its specifications tell us that the new iPhone will stress on advanced speed capabilities, with sources referring mainly to HSDPA 7.2 support. Another thing that is reported is that the “gap in capability” would be filled with new features, but there are no further thoughts on this one, so we are not sure if these would be some hardware improvements, or software goodies, coming with the new iPhone 3.0 software.

So, what would you like to see in the new iPhone – a QWERTY keyboard? OLED display? Better camera?

The new iPhone is now officially announced - you can check the Apple iPhone 3G S Specifications here.

a better camera and file transfer bluetooth would be enough to make me buy it.

Probably just a reference to the 3.0 software, but if not, a OLED display would be nice. I'll pass on a QWERTY keyboard though. As with the above comment, bluetooth file transfer would be nice. (Doesn't the 3.0 software support that though?)

Yeah me too. I'll stick with my 3G if the next one has a keyboard

I want there to be a button that you can press that will make you look less like a douchebag when you're holding one.

If everyone has a Storm then that would me those same 12-18 year olds also have a Storm. Psudo trendy Mac-Fags own an iphone. Fags own a Storm. You're all faggots.

my point is storm targets everyone. iphone targets young people. look at the iphones stupid commercials!!! only about apps! what about what the phone can actually do. look at the storm commercial wayyyyy betterrr

Way better? come on you know the only reason you have a Storm is because the iPhone is on AT&T's network! Don't be a deuce bag be a man!

You are their target market. A sheep. How can you talk shit about Iphone users when you blindly follow a phone just because of its name? YOU are Blackberry's target audience.

better camera, and non-smartphone type

dont worry apple has no intentions on making the iphone a smartphone/pda. there phone sales thrive off a way diff demographic strictly 25 and under/mid-life crisis range

16. E.N. posted on 24 Mar 2009, 14:47

What are you even saying. If that was an insult you did a bad job at it. And it looks like Steve Jobs is insider80 since he knows what apple plans and doesn't plan on doing. So tell me Steve, what are the new features that apple plans on putting the on the new iPhone?

21. insider80 posted on 24 Mar 2009, 18:23

its not a joke! actually since day one apple has insisted that the iphone will be a multi-media based device aimed at the younger cell phone user its comon knowledge im sorry that you dont know anything about the industry but instead of wasting our time just please dont post anymore unless you have something factual to add to the conversation

22. vzw fanman posted on 24 Mar 2009, 22:26

dude i dont see the iphone being multimedia based what so ever. again i have no clue what you are talking about insider80!! hahah lol

25. E.N. posted on 25 Mar 2009, 06:41

what factual information did you provide? Apple's intended audience is "strictly" 25 and under/mid-life crisis range? That doesn't sound like a fact to me. When you have an intended audience for a product and you want to maximize profit, it is never "strictly" above or below a certain number. So you don't even know what you're saying. And did Apple announce it was specifically for the people in a mid-life crisis range too? And if I'm right, I remember the iphone having the highest business user satisfaction. But since the audience is strictly 25 and under, I guess the statistics were referring to business users around the ages of 12-25 years of age. And hey, I'm pretty sure the blackberry line was intended for business users but I see countless 16 year olds using them. Intended audience and actual audience don't always match. And since day one, blackberry has insisted that they wouldn't create a touch screen phone. Things change buddy. And its funny how you think you know everything. You can tell me what's common knowledge, what I know and don't know, whose time I'm wasting. You say stop "wasting our time" like you have 50 people in the room with you. If I am wasting your time, then next time you see a comment from E.N., skip it. You're so smart I would have thought that you would have come up with that solution a long time ago. Next time, don't post anything if you don't have some real facts.

26. insider80 posted on 25 Mar 2009, 08:57

ok obviosly the mid-life crisis was a joke but the phone is slated for the 25 and under demographic and as far as the iphone being highest rated for buisness users well thats just hilarious

I don't think it's very much of a business phone either, but hey, that's what the article said.
