YUP, and so will all the networks. People talk about ATT but Verizon is going to fill it too. Droid has been growing for maybe 6 months on verizon and ATT has had iphone for 3 years...Just wait....

Yeah, but DROID has been growing at a slower rate - and that will help VERIZON - of course they will have serval models by year's end, so we will wait and see.

I'm pretty sure the very first iphone did the best or one of the best in sales despite its $600 price tag. The Motorola Droid is a really nice phone (my sister just bought it and I really actually like it), but I don't think something like this will happen for the droid anytime soon, even after 3+ years. Like I've said before, there's just too many other Android devices that do basically the same thing, the same exact way as the Droid. Like the EVO vs the Droid X. They're both basically the same freaking phone. The only difference is that EVO has slightly better specs while Droid will have better advertising and exposure.

I agree with you because of the options were the iphone can't seem to make multiple models at once to take away from these crazy days. I am really getting at that android os will begin to wear on verizon. People don't understand that a lot of iphone users do nothing but waste data...It will happen to other carriers with droid and it will affect the network.

not any more android has been outpacing Iphone (here in the USA and that's all I care about) http://gigaom.com/2010/05/10/why-u-s-android-handset-sales-are-outpacing-the-iphone/ and now we are starting to see better hardware on the android side than apple makes, and now att does not have a unlimited plan, and look at all the sweet droids, and dont forget motorola has a 2.0ghz droid this Christmas season, oh and 10000 apps per month growth I think you get the point very soon everyone will be saying I want a droid No doubt Android will outpace Iphone, its a simple numbers game one company has the iphone all the rest have the droid apple makes one Iphone I think there are approximately 16 droids for sale in the usa

I think that the #1 advantage Android has is the fact that they are available on multiple carriers and manufacturers. 4G/Lte speeds are also a plus. But thats kind of where the advantage ends. Like AT&T stated, 98% of people don't go over the cap. Even though I'll still have the unlimited data plan because I'm upgrading my line, I'm still going to change my data to a lower one so my bill can be like $55/month. The lower data rates will probably even increase the sale of the iPhone. You never know. And hardware wise, iPhone is pretty up there. I can't think of one Android phone that steps on the iPhone hardware wise. The EVO/X is the closest thing with its large screen (even though that's a con to many people) and the 8 and 1.3 megapixel camera (even though I'm willing to bet the iPhone takes better pictures). As for the phone that's coming out this Christmas, how about we ignore that until it actually comes out. We don't know if the phone is going to suck, even if it has a 2Ghz processor. How can you compare the phone in today's market with some unknown device that's 6 months down the road?

And I think you mean Android and not the Droid. I was pretty confused for the majority of your comment of which you were talking about.

Wow. Pretty amazing. I waited all the way until 1 am to buy mine and wasn't able to get it until like 2:30 am Pacific time. When I woke up at 11:00am, both AT&T and Apple's site were jammed. I'm curious to know how much they sold.

Since it broke the all-time record - possibly 2 million - per PHONEAREAN, the company will be able to produce 4 million a month - there will be records broken this year, but I am getting myself my first ANDROID - ARIA, and do not care what the sheep in this country, or world, think. BAHHHHHHHHH!!

apple still makes a lot less money than Microsoft, they just have much better marketing plan they always make people think they are number one even though they aren't

thats because apple charges 3x the money for the same thing you can get on PC for $600 because they know the mindless sheep will buy it and show everyone how incredibly cool (and stupid) they are. the ipad is a prime example. people shoveled out their money to buy a mediocre piece of shit that has half the features a 5 year old notebook has. but hey, it was made by apple, it can cure cancer and get you loads of naked women just begging for your manlihood. right...

iphone has the APP STORE ( easy of use and number of apps ) Iphone interface is WAY BETTER than Droid. iphone scrolls better looks better easier to use! Droid has flash Solution, Droid phone and an ipad to play on
