The Apple iPhone 3G definitely had a good run and finally brought the phone into the 3G game, but some still argue to this day that it should've been included on the original iPhone. Nonetheless, it looks like AT&T is saying goodbye and farewell for the long time 8GB version as it now stands as being “temporarily out of stock.” So if you're really adamant on saving some money by going with an older piece of technology as opposed to the current 3GS models or even the upcoming one, then you'd better start checking out local stores to see if any are left. The move obviously could signal that something is destined to take its place once the next generation iPhone is available.
