NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AT&t doesn't deserve it! Let them keep the fucking iPhone! I'd rather see T-Mobile get this phone than them! But seriously, why would AT&T suddenly get a top of the line Android phone from Moto, when up until now they've just gotten whatever leftover scraps Moto's tossed to them?

They're losing the iPhone exclusivity soon, at&t is finally putting on their game face. What would be over the top hilarious is if they somehow pick up the new Pre first..which I'm doubting because there's no way Palm would slap Sprint in the face like that. Remember, at&t is a monster company, they're the GSM equivalent to Vzw. So, hypothetically, as a combative move to losing their exclusivity, they're like..ok, let's pick up some WP7 devices, we'll keep iOS..probably get the iPhone 5 before anyone else, they're staying true to being the leading BBerry provider, they're still rocking WebOS, pumping up their Android game, and is soon to bring Symbian^3 w/ possibly the N8, and they destroy when it comes to having decent feature phones. At&t is getting serious, and hopefully that all gets transfered to their network.

NO What??? I Loved the Motorola Droid X but i couldn't buy it because it was CDMA shit and I am a GSM user!! i loved the EVO 4G too and i almost ended up buying it from eBay knowing that it would cost me a lot of euros to make it usable here...but with the upcoming Desire HD I don't need that anymore :P WELL, i hope this rumor become really true, i hate to see all the WP7 devices right now having the same 1GHz :-@ gingerbread with motorola, dual-core and almost certain, 4.3" is a must have :D by the way Sniggly, it is true that with this Gingerbread google will have its own user interface? and what is the true requirements? best regards

I'm excited to see AT&T pursuing new Android phones... Yes, I would like VZW to get the 2ghz Android before AT&T simply so I can buy one but other than that it's good to see AT&T finally looking at smartphones other than just their beloved iPhone.

i agree with that Artz!! i'll be glad when AT&T ends the contract with apple becauz it'll open up the door for more phones and a stronger network with out the i-phone cloggin up the towers, especially in the 4 major markets (LA, NYC, CHI, and SF). i have and work for AT&T and im looking foward to what AT&T plans on doing and its about time that they tell apple to "kiss my azz, we have other companies that'll love to have us as their carrier." if verizon is that stupid and anal to get the i-phone, let them have the bastards because it'll be hard for verizon to keep their network going with the i-phone AND the droids that they already have

LMAO..if this plays into fruition, from a fanboy perspective, I'd feel mighty sorry for Vzw kids. It's like, ok, they missed out on having the iPhone before everyone else, and they're missing out on WP7's, and now there's a rumor that they're going to be missing out on having a dual-core Gingerbread monster before most. Yes, in the land of fanboism, Vzw kids might not have much to brag about soon. All that aside, I think it's cool that Moto is finally giving other carriers a shot at a boss Android device...spread the wealth, you know.

A huge att selling point is they have phones other than smart phones. I am not buying my kid a smart phone at 11 years old. Vz seems to be forgetting about phones other than high end smart phones.

If Fios was available in my area I would have all my communication needs thru Verizon. Unfortunately they are NOT so I went thru AT&T which for the most part has been good. I have U-verse /home phone/internet/mobile thru AT&T which cuts a couple of bones off my monthly bill. Plus the Mobile network is good in the DFW area. The overall best featured smart phone on AT&T arsenal has been the Iphone. I got the Samsung Captivate because the Iphone4 is too vanilla for my tastes. I just whiched AT&T would have left it more like the orginal Galaxy S phone. The Blackberry Tourch is just sad. The HTC Aria I got for my son is better equipped and quicker. The new WM7 phones look pretty cool, but now that there is the new rumored Dual core android phone, I definitely waiting on that. I’m so happy that this phone could potentially come to AT&T and I will be the first in line to get it.

I hope that Google allows users to control their data connection in Gingerbread like we've been able to do on Symbian since day 1. If they do that, I will consider going back to Android. This whole idea that you're always connected sounds great, but I as a user only want my phone syncing email during set times, and I want widgets syncing at certain times. I don't want to see them always connected.

Verizon! I hope you are listening. This is your chance to set the standard. Use the Force! I had to open a contract with Tmo to get the. HD2. I never jumped Ship for the iPhone, but you are pushing it with The Terminator!
