AT&T prepared for life without the iPhone exclusivity, makes the iPhone-to-Verizon claims even stronger

It seems that AT&T is resigned to the fact that the end of its iPhone exclusivity is coming soon, as yesterday its CFO, as well as AT&T's Emerging Devices head stated that the second-largest US carrier is prepared for life without the iPhone...

When IS that date though? When does that exclusivity contract end exactly?

AT&T has been saying that for over a year and a half. Although signs point to a CDMA iPhone...the same thing happens every year with the same rumors. I'll wait until Steve Jobs gets on stage with a big red check mark behind him.

Thank GOD it's leaving AT&T. I'm getting sick and tired of all the crappy Android phones and others that AT&T keeps getting. Verizon can keep the P.O.S. Iphone with it's glitches cause more people will have even more problems if it comes to Verizon no matter what carrier is on. And I NEED A NEW PHONE SOON UPGRADE is available now.

So the iPhone is a piece of garbage, yet you want to upgrade to it?

As a former AT&T employee and current AT&T customer, im glad that the "crap" phone is leaving AT&T. id say, let verizon get the i-phone so that their network can crash and burn with ALL of the smartphones they have
but one question lingers...WHY THE HELL DOES VERIZON NEED THE I-PHONE WHEN IT HAS SLEPT WITH, MARRIED TO, AND HAD KIDS WITH ANDROID FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS???
seems to me that verizon want to be the best, well let them have the chance and we'll see what happens. they have LTE, but its limited and they dont have any LTE phones yet so i hope that this doesnt doom verizon cause itd be a shame if it were

Verizon has a much bigger and robust network than AT&T, and CDMA is more powerful than GSM, so I don't think that the iPhone would have the issues it has that it does on AT&T.
Verizon wants the iPhone to get those customers who left for AT&T for the iPhone back. And so that it's line up of smartphones are able to compete with AT&T as they are their biggest competitor. Verizon is already balls deep in Android, but there are those people that want to have variety in their phones. So even though it doesn't look like they need it, they really do.
