Who in their right mind would pick a Z10 over an S4 , Optimus G Pro or an HTC One??? Sentimentalist old farts? With the arrival of Snapdragon 600 and Exynos Octa, the Z10 is nothing but a pricey mid range handset.

I totally agree! You might as well include the Xperia Z and the Motorola X in your enumeration of hot new phones with awesome processors! :D

Not everyone thinks and prefers the same thing as you do. Specs are not everything, as long it gets the job done lag free - if it does, i dont see what's under the hood of the smartphone powering it matters - a lag free performance is exactly what flagship smartphones are expected to do. Most of the people i know buy Samsung not because of specs, they dont even know the specs, they cant see the difference of 720p and 1080p; they bought it simply from the recommendation of other ppl such as friends and relatives or shop retailers.

Samsung is just not my cup of tea.. and I think it's f*cking overrated! lmao

11. MC1123 posted on 12 Mar 2013, 06:25 3

not overrated but it is not worthy of your money... if their flagship will just look the same as their mid range, you'll feel cheated! same old plastic that samsung uses sucks!!!

unlike what BlackBerry, Sony, LG, NOkia and Motorola gave their flagship they are really worth every buck coz they look amazing!

Would you be happy to buy an early 2012 specs at a premium price? Cmon dont be a hipocrite....the Z10 is essentially a Galaxy S3 cloaked under a different brand.

8. jroc74 posted on 12 Mar 2013, 04:13 4

You make a point about the price....but I agree with EX.

I might be testing out AT&T to see how service is in my area. The Z10 might get tested by me. I had bad experiences with Samsung and HTC for my wants n needs. I dont think their newer phones will be any different.

For me...Motorola and BB get my attention for reception. HTC and Samsung has failed me too many times. My kids mother too.

So for me.....the latest specs dont mean squat if it isnt reliable as a phone when I need it to be. If it can handle everything I do now....thats all that matters for me. I jumped on the dual core bandwagon for PC's in 2008. an E8400 Intel cpu. Thats late and outdated by today's standards. Same for HDTV's. I still have a dual core PC. I dont even know when I will get a quad core PC.

Everybody doesnt live for the latest and greatest specs. And we all have different wants n needs. There is and never will be a one size fits all scenario in the tech world.

I think it's time we give Thorsten Heins a bit of credit. This company was left for dead not too long ago, with an aging product line, two CEOs and no clear direction. Now it has what appears to be two very competitive handsets on the way (despite what the naysayers have to say in the comments), a fresh take on the operating system, and carriers selling their phones. Obviously, they're not out of the woods yet, and they have a long way to go. But I like the direction they're going in and I'm optimistic about their future.

Thorsten is an idiot. The products are garbage and are outdated hardware. The app store sucks, and it's only a matter of time that I am optimistic that they will close and I cannot wait!

17. frustyak posted on 12 Mar 2013, 15:57 1

Sounds like you have a serious grudge against Blackberry. Seriously, if it's not quad-core, it's 'outdated'? Their upcoming phones are competitive, spec-wise, with most of the new phones sold today.
What, exactly, has Thorsten done to be labeled an 'idiot'? He came into a terrible situation and he has the company's future looking a lot better than it did a year ago. The apps will come as the new OS matures.

Garbage...I would never buy one of these junk phones!

Blackberry still proving you people WRONG. HTC has the worst touch screens, Motorola has a huge headphone jack issue and never updates their devices. Samsung just copied Apple long enough until Google gave them the most support. I prefer a phone that actually works and is built by a company with a backbone. Blackberry has come late In the game but they are showing how a built from the ground up OS and latest tech will give you what you want. Not the so called android OEMs who can't come up with anything them selves
