AT&T makes international data plans cheaper, local SIM card still better
AT&T rehashed its international data plans while roaming, making them slightly below suicide level. We all know it's extremely costly to browse the Internets from your US carrier phone while abroad, but sometimes we have to, and here is what you will be paying from now on when traveling outside the US:

  • 50MB package for $24.99/month compared to the current 20MB package for $24.99/month
  • 125MB package for $49.99/month compared to the current 50MB package for $59.99/month
  • 275MB package for $99.99/month compared to the current 100MB package for $119.99/month
  • 800MB package for  $199.99/month compared to the current 200MB package for $199.99/month

Better than before, but considering you will be using AT&T, whose GSM standard means you can unlock your device and pop in a local SIM card with much cheaper data while traveling, the prices are still quite ugly.
