Last week, we reportedthat Sony Ericsson's C905a was heading to AT&T for a July 19th U.S.launch. Sure enough, today is July 19th and the handset-featuring an8.1MP camera-has been launched. The device will set you back $179.99after rebate and your John Hancock on a 2 year contract. Besidesrunning high on the MP tables, the C905a camera also is equipped with aXenon flash, AF and video capture. It is the first Cyber-shot sportinga slider form factor, and is also the first with an 8MP shooter.

Alsoas expected, AT&T has released the Sony Ericsson W518a which comesloaded with a Facebook app, and doubles as a Walkman that stands up toshaking. The handset sports a more pedestrian 3.2MP camera with videocapture. The unit has been shoe-horned full of features like predictivetext capabilities, full HTML browser and support for SMS/MMS. And whilethere is no Ginzu steak knife, the cost is $49.99 after a rebate and a2 year contract.
