I always hope for better service from AT&T...
However, seeing as its been 15 years and 3 different states, its a hope in the lightest of its definitions, else, I have totally given up on AT&T service...
The one time they where great was AFTER the giant was broken apart, now that its been re-assembled, its once again back to being complete s**te

I don't see how people still stay with at&t, bad customer service, high prices, bunch of dropped calls, no longer unlimited data, like seriously :/ glad I left them though lol

All depends on where you live.
I'm in Orange County, California and it's great.
Been with AT&T >10 years.

I used to be with them since they were xcingular, but ever since they started to slow unlimited data, and raising prices unexpectedly for certain features, I decided it was time to hit the road

I can careless for Verizon, and no duh at&t is going to work in Mexico, it's gsm, I have t-mobile and pay 1/2 of what I used to pay at at&t for 5 lines with better service, and yes it even works in Mexico, u.k. Germany (where t-mobile is from) basically anywhere in the world I'd have service, my main reasons for leaving at&t were customer service and high prices, not to mention now I have true unlimited data, plus who's crazy enough to use roaming like going to Mexico?! When we had at&t we roamed on telcel and our bill was almost 2000 $ they knocked it down to 1800 $ and well that's still a lot, at least t-mobile they ask you to unlock your mobile, I used movistar while in Mexico and it works amazingly, Verizon and sprint are useless to me I leave the country too often.

T-Mobile sucks where I live...but I can get a good deal with some smaller carriers...

Good thing is I don't live in a rural area so t-mobile with its hspa+ 42mbps speeds outpaces at&t's 21 mbps, the only LTE here is Verizon, which isn't much different, I have a note II and I pull constantly 17 mbps and hehe if you're thinking of simple mobile, guess who's towers they use? Along with tracfone ;)

In my experience AT&T works better in most areas.

I miss my At&t and I am will be happy to go back. Sprint is the worst service ever.

AT&T has been thru alot of networking problems, but they are working on getting back to where they were a few years ago.
I used to work for AT&T (both Customer Relations and Sales) and the "bad apples" AT&T has.........tarnished their reputation. I think that AT&T is working on improving their brand and thats good enough for me. Ive had AT&T for a couple years now and i cant complain about it. I cant stand Sprint because of their spending limit, I dont like Tmobile because you're paying an arm and leg for their phones and their close to being bought out again which means you dont know whats going to happen to them. As far as Verizon is concerned, theres something shady about them. I cant put my finger on it, but i dont trust them
I'll stay with AT&T and hang in there while they try to improve their image

AT&T's problem is that they have not fully unified the companies' systems from acquisitions and between DSL/phone, Uverse and wireless. A lot of miscommunication still goes on there. Plus, now they try to sell Uverse to wireless customers - very annoying.
They do work well, along with Verizon here in Cali.
