AT&T having outage problems with iPhone MMS
When we reported yetserday on AT&T turning on the MMS switch for the iPhone, we ended our story by saying that we would see how AT&T's network would hold up under the years of pent up MMS demand. Less than 24 hours after pulling the switch, we know that the answer is, "Not very well." Reports are coming in about outages preventing MMS messages from getting through. BGR says that they have called the wireless operator and were told that there is a latency issue in all states regarding MMS. AT&T could not estmate when the service will be turned back on, but you iPhone 3G and 3GS owners have waited for so long, what's another few hours...or days? If you are having problems, or if you're able to send/receive MMS on your iPhone 3G/3GS, let us know either way.

I'm not having any problems either with mms. And another thing is that Apple and AT&T are two separate things. Apple has been capable of mms since the beginning of the year (people all over the world have been using mms and tethering for a while now on their iPhones). It was AT&T that couldn't handle it. So you and others need to make that distinguishment/distinction when commenting.

20. rhomaion posted on 27 Sep 2009, 19:15

E.N. don't even try and stick up for them. Apple in all their "wisdom" chose AT&T two sign a contract with and no one else. So you and others need to face the facts that Apple has made many bad choices and this is just showing to be yet another one. And why would they put a camera in their iPod Nano, oohh wait, I know, just so they couldn't put it in the iPod Touch because that would make TOO MUCH sense.

Every single other phone on AT&T's network is capable of MMS, and there are no issues with it whatsoever. Clearly Apple is at fault for their own blunders.

A lot of the problems is they hacked their phone previously and that is causing i found the fix is reseting ALL settings

Of course they are having outage problems, does this surprise anyone??? No matter what new service AT&T rolls out, they will always SUCK! And they will try to bullshit you with some lame excuse as to why. NO BARS IN MORE PLACES!

11. behold--me posted on 27 Sep 2009, 12:14

hahah i like ur comment no bars in more places lol ya they suck asz when it comes to speed and reliablilty in their network its really sad but hilarious at the same time

22. rhomaion posted on 27 Sep 2009, 19:17

This is kinda funny because all the people bashing neither have iPhones or AT&T yet all the people that have both are not complaining... My MMS is not out.... Then again lets all discuss how VzW still hasn't fixed there Txt/MMS issue with people outside there network... btw VzW fanman.. how are you enjoying that Storm with its 32% return rate or did you move on to the Tour with its 50% return rate?

24. vzw fanman posted on 27 Sep 2009, 22:34

oh god enough with this return rate, you should try it before you buy it idiot people. also lolipop, i am enjoying my storm very much. i have os 5.0.230 and its amazing. it has absolutly no problems. if you were to use mine you would agree. i dont know why people bring them back but that never once crossed my mind to do that. i have no problems what so ever with the keyboard. in fact i like the storm's keyboard beteer than my old voyagers. for example, if i spell ono and hit space, onomatopoeia comes up automatically, saves a lot of work... i wouldn't trade this phone for anything. except the storm 2 when my contract is up in january. it is the best blackberry out now!!!! and lolipop i have no idea what you're talking about with pix/flixing people who are not with verizon. i have no problems bro...:-)
