Over 178 million text messages were sent through AT&T's network by voters for Fox's hit show American Idol...

its a lot of texts messages but then again some should not count considering some ATT employees went to parties in Kris Allens home town and brought cells with them having people send messages to idol and most were apparently block texts (up to 10 at a time) and the rules state that they have to be suscribed to ATT to send the messages.
