Sprint MVNO FreedomPop is looking to add another partner in the U.S. The hybrid carrier offers voice and data over Wi-Fi, using the Sprint network to fill in the gaps. The mobile operator is trying to spruce up its offerings, adding a refurbished Apple iPhone 5 to its line-up for $349. There is also talk about FreedomPop possibly expanding its operation overseas...

It's really hard for me to believe anyone's claim of their phones getting such data speeds after being a Sprint customer for a few years.

Hell yeah. After seeing 200 Kbps downloads on my HTC One M7 I can't believe anything Sprint says about speed or coverage...

Just don't see where FreedomPop goes. They will run into the same issues everyone else faces -- data caps. With net neutrality gutted by the government, the big mobile players are going to stomp all over the MVNOs (or assimilate them) in the next few years.
