follow the leader...people bash VZW all the time for high prices, but when it comes down to it, vzw clearly is the industry leader here. Didn't AT&T, Sprint, Tmob, and the rest of them follow suit with unlimited plans only after vzw announced theirs (albeit, tmob and sprint came out with cheaper versions). Also, wasn't vzw the first to come out with prorated ETFs? Finally, they were the first ons to offer unlimited messaging as part of a calling plan.

not sure why everyone gave this negative. it is pretty factual, fanboyism aside.

Industry leader? You mean industry leader in regards to be the first to require ETF's of $375 on Smartphones, at least no one followed suit there.

it is $350. and the rest of his post was correct. way to be wrong.

Its 350 and its briliant! becasue it keeps dirtbags from opening lines then buying a smartphone selling it on the street turnging a profit and canceling the line. They must lose millions before this etf was in place. If you do your homework and love your service the etf shouuldnt matter anyways. Vzw is the best .. and people still sign up every day even with that fee because they know they arent going anywhere. Big red Biggest and smartest company in the industry!

VZW is losing customers by the hundreds of thousands due to the iPhone alone!

Sorrry Nogar....VZW still leads the industry in gross adds....DESPITE the iPhone. The Droid made sure of that...not to mention the slew of new devices coming this year ( still waiting to see if the HTC Dragon is coming to VZW ).

Nogar, VZW doesn't lose hundreds of thousands because of the poop phone, VZW probablly gains more every day because of the diversity of their network. They have Android, WinMo (even though thats the crappies os every), and they are the leading carrier of BlackBerry.

wow , that was fast, less than 48 hours later at&t say... "damn, can Verizon stop coming out with awesome ideas, we're really sick of being the second to alter our plans" oh well though, in the end this competition does only good things for consumers. cudos to vzw for changing unlimited pricing. Now if the would offer a 20$ unlimited data for "3G" phones.
10. brikz4real posted on 17 Jan 2010, 00:28 0 0
They do offer a plan of such for 3G phones....but it is $29.99....like the smartphones.

You people(especially you vzw fanboys) are idiots!! Who the F cares who came out with the idea first because at the end of the day whether you are with at&t, vzw, tmobile or sprint, YOU the customer win. I hope these companies continue to bitch with one another because if they do I the customer will continue to win. On a side note kudos for vzw for coming out w/it first and making at&t follow now I can talk, surf the web and do so much more at the same time on the nation's fastest 3G network with an unlimited voice and data plan for less:)

Haha. Luke Wilson couldn't have said it better himself. Who the F ever talks and surfs the web at the same time. And I'm not even going to dignidy the fastest network claim with a comment.

"lower price then they do now" These articles are serioulsy writen by 4 year olds. In a few minutes they will correct the spelling to 'than' and no one will know what my comment is about. That is unless they delete my comment all together.

Clearly big red you are a verizon customer and clearly have no concept of how beautiful it is to talk and surf the web, or check email or any other of things you can do at the same time because you can't utilize them on the verizon network. LMAO
