This is true but... If you add the Logitech K810 Keyboard (to name the best) + a regular OTG USB Cable... you get pretty much the same benefits (Except for the extra battery)...
Also note that the phone itself supports the standard MHL Cable.
OTG cable plugs on the Tablet station.
What is really missing here is the AMERICAN VERSION with more 3G and LTE Bands!!!! PLEASE

You won't see a US version of the Padfone. The Padfone "cheats" the carriers out of being able to charge you extra for the data used in Tablet mode.

Well, I am still hopeful to see a version with a broader 3G bands support.
I am going to buy the Xperia Acro S and keep that one until I can buy the PadFone 2 (if such version is release) or maybe wait for the PadFone 3...

I agree... even though many people does not like the idea... it is very well executed... and the phone by itself is just amazing

My friend has one of these (pre-release engineering model). The camera is TERRIBLE. It's 13 MP on paper, but it doesn't look it and it takes forever to refocus. The screen is as gorgeous and sharp as you'd expect, though, and even on ICS the phone was still very smooth. Jelly Bean should make it simply spectacular. The tablet had a set of pins on the bottom edge. It may not have the keyboard dock yet, but judging by the design of the tablet, I'd say that that's on the way.

The Tablet Station for PadFone 2 will not have a Keyboard dock... Asus admitted it soon after the unveiling event and they will keep the dock in mind for the 3rd iteration.
A pre-release model is not a good comparison point. You would be surprise what small tweaks and tiny firmware updates can do for camera software.

It's an awesome device but it is very expensive. I won't say overpriced.
