ADW Launcher was in beta testing for a very long time, but it looks like developers have made a push and released the final version by the end of 2016.

Although the launcher is available for free, the premium version requires you to pay $1.99. The low price is only available for a limited time, after which it will go back up to $3.99, so if you want all its features you should hurry since there's no telling when the promotion ends.

ADW Launcher 2 features support for Android 7.1 launcher shortcuts, but it offers limited support on older versions down to 5.x The final build comes with new icons effects section where users can choose image filters and compositions.

The launcher features dynamic UI coloring using wallpaper colors and provides users with a new way to manage screens: hold down and empty area of the desktop. The same goes for other functions like adding widgets and shortcuts, as well as changing wallpapers and accessing settings.

Compared to the previous beta versions, ADW Launcher 2 comes with loads of new features and improvements, including better ways to manage user gestures and apply internal and external themes, as well as the addition of a new fast application search in app drawer.

Unfortunately, many Android users who had a previous beta version installed are not content with what the new version does and looks. But, you can at least try it for yourself and see if you like it more than other Android launchers, as it doesn't cost a dime.
