A wild Galaxy Tab S3 appeared in India

About a month ago we stumbled upon release date information for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 – the South Korean giant's new flagship tablet. According to the info, it's supposed to launch in the first quarter of next year, after it was first rumored it will be unveiled at IFA 2016 (which didn't happen).

And despite the lack of official information, it appears that Q1 2017 might in fact be when the tablet hits the market. The speculations were recently backed by the tablet's silent import in India, where it's probably been sent for beta tests in the wild. The information comes from the Indian import tracker Zauba and it shows that a total of eight units were shipped to the country.

The items' description is labeled as “for R & D purpose & evaluation & not for retail sale”, so the eight mysterious tablets won't be making their way to stores just yet, but the fact that Samsung might be starting field tests leads us to believe that the official unveiling of the Galaxy Tab S3 is not too far away.

With CES 2017 coming, we could see the tablet's official announcement this January, followed by a release by the end of the quarter.
