Yesterday, we heard rumors that Google is attempting to build its own wireless carrier. Apparently, Google has been in talks with Dish Network as well as other companies to try to find a partner in building a mobile carrier. The first reaction from many is that this would be a great idea, but there are some trouble spots that Google will have to watch out for if it does try to create the so-called G-Mobile wireless carrier...

Oddly enough, I think Google might be able to make a case to the DOJ and the FCC here in the USA, that in fact they would be increasing competition here. The carriers in the USA have us over a barrel, and charge exorbitant rates for data in comparison to most other countries. It might be a stretch, but I think if they get good lawyers they might be able to pull it off.

No I dont think so, VOIP is readily available any where when WiFi available. AT&T and VZ, their prices should coming down in order to compete with GT-mobile.

A lot of people will lose their job.Other wireless company start losing business when subscriber starting to jump ship. Yes its Good for the consumer but for employees..i dont think so. Just like walmart, other business cannot survive around it.
