Verizon customers are taught to keep their expectations at the absolute lowest possible when it comes to software and firmware updates. And while the Motorola Moto X branded with the Verizon name did receive the Android 4.4 update in November, well, the stock Android Nexus and Google Play editions are already updated to Android 4.4.2. Surely a little honey could be sent to Verizon owners...

+1 on battery drain from KK. That was likely the reason for suspending the update to KK.

I dont thank that it was the reason for suspending the update. The reason I say that is the fact that even after they restarted pushing the update to phones again it was still the same update numbers. The reason that the update was suspended was because it was bricking soo many phones. I do wish that they would fix KK, I mean wasnt one of the big selling points for it the fact that it was less CPU/GPU intensive and therefore would render better battery life? Yet I have lost a whole days worth of battery life on my phone at this point and I dont use it any more than I used to, in fact I use it less now than I did. It just makes me angry, wish I could go back to 4.2.2 but alas.

For real. Up to 30% battery drain on my Droid Mini from "Android OS". On 4.2.2, I could get up to 18 hours of use from my Mini, now I'm lucky to get 7 or 8 by barely using it at all; hopefully 4.4.2 will fix this.

Yeah mine has gone down a little on my Ultra especially on LTE. I haven't really noticed much of a change on WIfi though.

Other than that I love Kit Kat and use my emojis constantly.

Anyone experiencing frequent crashes of Chrome with 4.4? With 4.2.2, Chrome was rock solid. With 4.4, I am seeing Chrome crash daily. Sometimes, it crashes multiple times during the day. :-( I also wish I could go back to 4.2.2

I haven't had any issues with battery drain on my Mini! KK has been running pretty flawlessly on mine.
