A man waiting in line for the Pre 15 minutes before his wedding starts
If you think you are a proper Palm Pre maniac – think again. It seems there are many, way more (dangerously) serious cases. Now, what we would sooner call an obsessive condition is the following…

Sprint has recently published a press release, in which the Pre is described like the coolest thing since sliced bread, but what has just thrilled us is the story of Mr. Travis and his wife. The guy was the 14th waiting in line for the Pre this Saturday at 7 AM. Not, the thing is that his wedding was actually scheduled for 8 AM the same day! So, about fifteen minutes before the appointed hour he finally made up his mind and walked out after leaving his credit card details with a store employee making it clear he expected they would “hold the 14th phone” for him. The newlywed birds returned to the store later and spent their first minutes of life in matrimony with the same Ready Now consultant, who “walked the happy couple through Pre’s setup and features.”

Boy, wish we had been there to see this…

This is news worthy because? I mean I like the damn phone, but this is getting ridiculous. This has no current/future software/hardware information about the phone or going to affect consumers or business's in anyway shape or form. So the posting of this article is for.....?

for good laughs if nothing else...

No this Pre thing is ridiculous. . .all of these made up stories to promote the phone that didnt have basics features like an alarm clock or good corp email support. . .

Yea so ridiculous. Sprint says they aren't expecting any hype yet they are making up random crap to hype it themselves. Idiots.

Ok now this story is off the wall a bit but let's not talk bout basic features that the Pre should of had cause i remember a certain phone that came out of the same way............

true.... but look where this phone is now .... and think how long it took pre to come out... and think how long it will take them to get to the same level the iphone is now..

Yeah your right its not on the same level as the iphone...... what were you expecting to blow up over night??? The iphone has 2 years out and still no MMS(well up until now) so i dont get what your trying to talk down bout the Pre. iphone is not perfect and no other phone is. Be real about things who knows maybe it will become a great phone or won't, we dont know that.

You guys need to move onto new things that the iPhone doesn't have. You can't spend forever talking about things like mms and copy and paste. Well you have 9 days so get it all out when you can.

This is Sprint PR BS, who get's married at 8AM? Exactly, no one would wait and hold up a wedding over a phone...I don't care how big of a geek you are.

I just heard that this phone also doubles as a cheese slicer. . .this phone cuts the cheese, lol. . .this also means people are cutting themselves. Sprint is going to lose money big on this phone. how are people going to text with out there fingers. he is prolly one of those grooms who kill thier wives for the insurance money. no one would ever expect the groom, the conservatory, the Palm Pre. . . http://gizmodo.com/5279413/palm-pre-cuts-the-cheese

I messed up my other comment im at work. Its pretty bad for people to come on this website and out of all of the phones that are out there. People pick one phone and constantly talk bad about it its been out for what 3 days. Seriously some people have no lives.
