Despite the geeky name, the Matrix One is not a tablet that would be featured in a sci-fi blockbuster movie. Quite the opposite – it is the slate that bargain hunters would be interested in due to its $90 price tag. That's 10 dollars less than what the tablet was expected to retail for when it was unveiled earlier this year...

I'd use it to slap a mugger. Here, I'll give you my tablet and nothing else! :p

went this route at Christmas. All the bargain tablets are junk. Spend the $199 and get a Kindle or Nexus. Don't flush your hard earned money. You will hate it 5 minutes after you start it up.

I think it's perfect tablet for your kids. It will do enough for school and entertainment and if it breaks they can mow the yard a couple times or so and get another one. I too would get the nexus 7 it will have more developers official and non official working on refinements but perfect first time tablet for an eight year old.

Replace your Chumby with one to use bedside as an alarm clock and for checking weather or a quick browse.
