8.9" Kindle Fire may be coming Q2 2012

A new report is claiming that Amazon is in the process of developing both an 8.9" tablet and a 10.1" tablet to sit alongside the 7" Kindle Fire, and that the 8.9" tablet could hit the market as soon as Q2 of 2012...

The reviews for the Kindle Fire on Amazon.com are dreadful. You have your lapdogs, fanboys, and sycophants giving it 4 or 5 stars. I read all the 1 star and 2 star reviews and it's clear Amazon confused cheap in price with value. Lots of complaints about safety and privacy issues. Lots of complaints about the lack of polish on the device.

I sampled the device at Best Buys and the Fire is a big disappointment -- stripped down tablet that failed to live up to Amazon's hype. The bottomline is you get a cheap tablet, but you don't get a great value in the process.
