8 imaginative iOS 8 features concept videos bring widgets, resizable icons, and more
Apple's latest and greatest update to the mobile operating system that started it all is fast approaching, and with it the speculations what iOS 8 might look like, and what will it bring to the table, are reaching a crescendo mode.

Will it have interactive notifications, customizable Control Center, split-screen mode for the iPad line, or even a rudimentary widget system, and resizable icons? These might be in the sphere of wishful thinking, but it's nice to dream how they might look like, that's why we've rounded up some iOS 8 concept videos below, to help you visualize them.

Furthermore, we have the things that are all but confirmed for iOS 8, like the Healthbook application, which is expected to track a user’s health and fitness data, collecting multiple streams of information in one place. The Healthbook might come adjacent to the mythical iWatch or a separate fitness accessory, too. Still, nobody is expecting a radical change in the interface design, as iOS 7 was just that, so what Apple is likely to stress on, are the new features, some of which you can see displayed in the concept videos below.

I think you have misinterpreted the meaning of the headline. I think they mean imaginative as in it only exists in iFan imaginations. Seeing how fast Apple is in changing iOS, I would bet that split screen and widgets are definitely not happening. They would require too many changes to the OS and would introduce too many bugs and security flaws (iOS 7 was a skin change and it had more bugs than all other iOS versions). Interactive notifications are possible and so is customizable control center. The former isn't happening even close to what the first video shows, it will be more akin to droid if anything and the latter being unlikely because Apple doesn't care how you want it usually. Finally, re-sizable icons is absolutely useless.

Apple doesn't do hardware and software at the same time. They might change that this time to make a big splash but I doubt it. Lets see what they bring to the table though, if the last 7 years are any indication, the biggest "feature" will be new icons.

Huh yea, I thought I replied to the one above but then noticed I didn't, and you kinda can't delete them once they're up.

they're slowly adapting to android and saying it as Imaginative. Biggest troll by Apple. once ios8 is out apply fanboy will say- see these features are not laggy like on your android devices.
android is far more mature in terms of customization n features so no one gives a dyum to Apple's new ios.
secondly every iPhone user used to say me- iPhone is not like android. but now it's gonna get way more similar to android by copying these features. now the day has come when Apple fanboys will say- look we have android features in Apple style. LoLz.
