At the same time, there are many reasons to give iOS a thumbs down. Each platform is with its strengths and weaknesses, no platform is perfect, as much as Apple would like you to believe.

With iOS 5.0 update, my iPad 2 updated without any problems but I had to try a few times with my iPod Touch 4G. For iOS 6.0 update -- both devices updated without any problems. I really like the new features on iOS 6.0.

This is one area where Apple shines and Google's operating system fails completely -- that is allowing the user control over the OS updates. I have a Moto Triumph on Virgin with stock Froyo aka Android OS 2.2 and I am still not allowed to upgrade to the latest android versions by myself.

By the way, I went to the Apple store and I did not like the new iPod Touch 5G's home button because it of the way it clicks and how it responds. Looks like I have to buy a non-contract iPhone 5 as a device to replace my iPod 4G. I really want that A6 chip and greater memory to power the apps. And you can't find these apps on the android. I've made so much money from these specialized apps. Thank you Apple!

OK, here is the deal:
Android is Hardware designed around an OS, and Apple is an OS designed around hardware.

Pros/Cons:
Apple has a few devices to support with their operating system, but they are slow to implement change because it might break a device that is 2-3 years old (backwards compatibility).

Android, keeps their OS on the bleeding edge, but it is up to the device manufacturers to keep up. The manufacturers build hardware around the OS at the time of release, they are sometimes good for 1 upgrade, but that is usually it.

Finally, the issue for Apple, is that anything with buttons today will be replaced with an Android Screen or Component in the next few years, if not already. TV remotes, Gaming Systems, Smart Thermostats, Watches, Cars Info Screens, Gas Station Pumps, Medical Equipment, Treadmills, Vending Machines, Cameras, etc. etc. etc. They all might get stuck with a dated OS, but it is something the Apple Infrastructure cannot handle (or it is just impractical).

On a treadmill, you can watch TV on an Android Screen, then shrink the image so you can control the treadmill's speed, the incline, or review stats while the video is still running. Not sure when iOS will ever be able to that.

It goes on and on, there are all kinds of Android implementations, even this one without a screen...

I'll read your response.

Yes because Android is 2 years ahead of iOS already so even if it's GB it's better than iOS6. Just checked my server logs:

98.217.233.231 - - [23/Oct/2012:03:53:47 +0530] "GET /cron_image.html HTTP/1.1" 200 64 "" "Mozilla/5.0 (iPad; U; CPU OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J3 Safari/6533.18.5"

(server on IST timezone) Still on iOS4?

Fanboy and their strong dislike for anything different. There no words to describe your contempt for android. I know for a fact that each has its strength and weakness be it iOS, Android or Windows 7.5 We will see about windows 8 when it launch later this month.

I feel that its your own money spent it however you like maybe a spare lighting cable this month or perhaps a lighting adaptor, maybe both!

What the purpose of iOS updates if iOS is always the same?
Even older versions of Android is far ahead from iOS.

Yes, I hate Apple as a company but my view on Apple's products are constructive and only from the technical side. And in my opinion (and not only mine) in iOS 6 there is ESSENTIALLY nothing new it is still the same old iOS.

There is nothing wrong with having the same launcher or what is commonly known as user interface.

Android is different as google is trying to create the wow factor in every major release of android.

Pro and Con to both. Geek with like android new ways to access feature while moms and dads likes iOS easy to use interface.

It is just a myth that iOS is easier to use and that myth was busted.

Atleast theres custom Roms. Ios don't have no devs community. Xcept cydia. Blame the carriers not Google for not upadating. And even ics is way smother than ios! When you swipe on the ip4, it feels direct, but when you swipe on ics its more buttery. Still enjoying crap html5.vs Flash. Just imagine the iphone4. Had Flash, it wouldev lag worser than worse.™®©

Troll u really hate iOS huh? Flash isn't even n androids future plans bro. It's dying off, there r so many websites I couldn't watch vids on that I can now, cuz they've switched to html5. It's the future, not flash.

While there was no HTML5 Android was with Flash while iOS never had Flash. Now there is HTML5 and Android is losing Flash. iOS didn't had Flash when it was really in need while Android was with Flash!
