5 amazing phone illusions that will blow your mind

When the iPhone first came out, we saw a bunch of phone magic that, while it was captivating at the time, has become pretty cheesy over the years. We’re talking about such gimmicks as being able to drink a beer out of the screen and the app that made the camera look like an x-ray machine.

We’re happy to see that over the years, real magicians have started to use smartphones to create and enhance a variety of mind-blowing illusions. Inspired by the iPad presentation we saw by Charlie Caper and Erik Rosales, we set out to find other portable powered illusions. Today, we’ve put together 5 acts that use today’s mobile devices to make you say, “Wow!”

The Hand Is Quicker Than The Eye Magic Trick

First up we have Jay Jay. He performs some great up close card tricks. To add a mobile twist to his act, he had it filmed simultaneously with an iPhone 4, an iPhone 4S, and an iPad 2, each from a different side. All 3 videos are available on YouTube so you can try to figure out how the trick was done from 3 separate angles.
