5 Samsung Galaxy Nexus protective cases
With the Cruzer Lite Androidified A2 case, proudly expressing your nerdiness could not get any easier. Just slap one of these onto your Galaxy Nexus and the little green robot will be following you wherever you may go. However, don't expect it to be of much use in case your smartphone falls to the ground. The case comes in 10 different colors, and if you decide to purchase two of them, a third one will be thrown in for free.
If pink is the color you like, then the Barely There case by Case-Mate might interest you. And just like its name suggests, the plastic that it is made out of is meant to be as thin as it is practically possible. At the same time, it will do a great job protecting your Galaxy Nexus from accidental bumps and scratches. Oh, the case is available in boring black too, should you belong to the conservative kind.
3. Incipio NGP
The Incipio NGP protective case for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is made out of a semi-rigid polymer that gently wraps around the smartphone's edges. At the same time, the material is dense enough to be capable of absorbing a fair amount of shock should your Galaxy Nexus happens to meet gravity. But it only weighs about 28 grams (1 oz) so it shouldn't make the device feel too bulky. It comes in black, grey, or pink, and a screen protector along with a cleaning cloth are included in the set.
But if protection has a priority over looks, check out the Seidio ACTIVE protective case. Composed out of rubberized plastic and silicone, it can absorb the shocks from accidental drops and will add a bit of extra grip to the smartphone. All the while, it is about 2.2 millimeters thick, which isn't that bad considering the level of protection that you get in exchange. It comes in five different colors, including white, red, and purple.
Looking for something even tougher? Then meet the OtterBox Defender. Sure, at nearly $50, it is a bit on the pricy side for a protective case, but in exchange you get arguably the toughest case made for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus yet. It features multiple layers of protection including a built-in screen protector and a durable outer layer made of silicone. Before ordering, however, keep in mind that the OtterBox Defender will add a whopping 126 grams (4.46 ounces) of weight to your handset.

none of them are really that impressive. i wish Android devices had better case support but at the same time i understand why they don't have it. -.-

I've notice that when I use the Seidio Active Case w/ Kickstand I somehow lose a bit of "reception" of signal. I don't know if this because of the case or not but every time I take off the case the signal bar gets back up to full potential, and vice versa when I put the case back on.
Has anyone else had done happened to them with the Seidio Active w/ Kickstand

I just got the Cruzer Lite from Amazon, i'll let you guys know how it is. I have been having hard time finding one to fit with extended battery.

i refuse to pay 20+ for a nickel worth of plastic and rubber. i have this case, shipped for $4, fits over the extended battery and looks decent (i have the blue one). unless you want the added protection of the otterbox, dont spend anymore than this.i think they have one with a kick stand too

Some of these cases are expensive. I won't pay over $5 for a phone case
