It is speculated that the Microsoft Surface tablets will come in a Wi-Fi-only variety at launch as 3G/4G models are currently not being planned. The main reason behind this decision is said to be an analysis, which estimates that cellular connectivity on a tablet is a rarely used feature...

I was suspecting that coz no mobile carrier talks on carrying it. To bad no subsidy for the rumored price.
I hope they change thier mind on windows 8 pro version

So, what if most people use it at home? The percentage of people that have wifi at home around the world is miniscule compared to the number of people that have access to cellular data!
I suppose people will have to use that USB slot for a 3G/4G dongle!

Microsoft really disappoints sometimes staying like one step behind their rivals like they did when they launched WP7 no 4G no SD cards and now they realized consumers want those features, it's not whatyou think MS its what people want think outside the box!
