London-based GoldenGenie is a company so obsessed with the luxury materials that it'll embellish pretty much anything you can think of in either gold, platinum or rose gold...

Why don't you learn to read the article? This isn't even done by Apple.

You, sir, need to stop getting offended so easily. Read moar; interpret moar. That's a legit comparison as it has a lot to do with capital.

No doubt! I wouldn't even pay 10% of that price.

Spending $2,900+ on a phone instead of paying bills, food, and necessities is the best idea I've heard all day.

Well if you can afford it, then why not?

I mean it's one thing to neglect your family for this platinum iPhone & it's another to take care of your family & still get this if you have the means.

"Well if you can afford it, then why not?"

I don't think that it is smart behavior to buy something just because you can. It is good if you want just to show off, but as investition it is waste of money. iPhone in gold will very fast depreciate, it is bad investition. Better buy a brick of gold and it will be good investment.

yes, because whoever can afford to pay that much of money on a phone will struggle with sustaining his daily needs.

Who are you to tell a hard working individual how to spend their hard earned money?!?

If the person is responsible, takes care of their family, has no debt, & pays his bills on time, why can't they buy this?

There is a market for these types of phones coming from both Android & Apple. I could never question an individual about how they spend their hard earned money, whether it be responsible or not.

You should never worry about another person's pockets. Only worry about yourself. Nobody buys a platinum iPhone as an investment, they buy it because it makes them feel good & because it makes them happy. Yeah some people may want to show off also.

Where do you see that I'm telling or forcing someone to do something? They can do whatever they want with their money, I'm just expressing my opinion about all that.

Also sorry if my comment somehow induced hysteria or buthurt for you, but my comment was pretty clear and if you don't have a common sense to understand it and interpret it right, then it is not my fault. ;)

+ a million to you sir. If it wasn't you calling him out, it was me.

@phonearenauser, who buys a gold / platinum phone as an investment?! As stated, if you have the means and it's legal, you're entitled to buy what ever you want. You can't tell me what I can and can't spend my money on. Sheesh. It's unbelievable how some people think.

No. I enterpreted it the exatct same way he did.

"I don't think that it is smart behavior to buy something just because you can"

All he said, based off that statement above, is whats defined as smart behavior is not up to you. If someone wants to buy it and can afford it, all the power to them. Just because you can't afford it doesn't mean someone else who can shouldn't be allowed to get it.

"I don't think that it is smart behavior to buy something just because you can."

And where you see in that sentence that I'm telling or forcing someone to do something? This sentence is my opinion.

And that's why I have said: "It is good if you want just to show off, but as investition it is waste of money."

if you can afford it, better send that money to somalia, kongo, rwanda, kenya to fund for dringking water.
with 3000 dollars you can save a lot of lifes.
every 4 hours there are hundred children die because of water crisis and sanitation, while you bragging up your 4000 dollars iphone to your friends.

Oh be quiet and educate yourself. When you donate money to starved African countries their corrupt governments take over 75% of it. I've worked hard for my money, I get to do whatever I want with it.

Where did AndroidEvo or myself accuse you of forcing someone to do something? All we are trying to say is a "smart purchase" is a relative phrase. What's affordable to some people isn't to others, and you're not one to tell me what's smart and what's not.

Some time ago I have seen comments on similar articles that it is good investment. But in my opinion it is not good investment that's why I have made this statement.

If people want to invest money in gold, they buy gold. Not a gold plated phone that'll depreciate over night. Educate yourself, you're smarter than that!

You should never comment on how people spend their money. That's proper etiquette.

This comment: "I don't think that it is smart behavior to buy something just because you can." implies you have a problem with someone buying a Platinum iPhone.

Look you shouldn't worry about the next person's pockets. If they want to buy dog poop, who cares. I mean I doesn't change my finances & it shouldn't change yours.

For you to have an opinion on what another person buys is just wrong. Live your life & let those individuals who want a Platinum iPhone live theirs.
