35% of Americans aged 16 and older now own a tablet; that news comes from the latest data released by Pew. The survey took place from July through September and covered 6224 Americans and suggests that 24% of Americans are sporting an e-reader. Closing in on half of those asked, 43% reported owning either a tablet or e-reader...

Mac Air + smartphone (any) is the way to go for me, I still don't see much use for a tablet. Note 3 or One Max would be the ideal package for the tablet lovers.

I believe tablets are useless.
Either get a real phone or use your laptop.
I did buy a Nexus 7 for my 9 yo. niece though so I guess I'm adding to this statistic

actually tablets are not useless its the closest thing to a laptop you can buy.Also if you couldnt get a computer a tablet can come in use

Actually alot of people are no moving from laptops to tablets as evidenced by a drop in laptop sales and an increase in tablet sales. Tablets are usually lighter and have more variety in form factor (e.g. hybrids) and you can usually get them up to core i5 or i7 chips as well which means that unless people see the need in the old laptop style theyll just buy a tablet instead...
