32GB Google Nexus 7 could be real after all, more listings emerge
Just a couple of days ago, evidence in support of the existence of a 32GB Google Nexus 7 tablet was leaked on the web. The clue was in the form of a listing in the inventory of U.K. retailer Carphone Warehouse. Fast forward two days into the future and today, a Nexus 7 with 32GB of storage has appeared online once more, this time on the web sites of other online retailers.

Currently, the tablet is labeled as "out of stock" or "unavailable" and all the information in the listings is nothing but a quick summary of the device's hardware specs - 1.2GHz Tegra 3 processor, Android 4.1, Bluetooth, and of course, 32 gigabytes of on-board storage. A photo of the Google Nexus 7 has not been posted. Interestingly, one of the retailers has put a price on the rumored device of $260, which is only $10 more than what the 16GB retails for.

One way to interpret this is that Google might want to refresh its tablet lineup and slash about $50 or so off the price. A cheaper Nexus 7 would be even more competitive in case an iPad mini happens to be released by Apple. Of course, that is just a presumption, and the listings we've been seeing over the past few days could be nothing but placeholders. Oh well, guess we'll have to wait and see what the truth turns out to be.

What about the 3G version ?

Well what they should do is go:

8GB = $149
16GB = $199
32GB = $249

That seems most logical...Pricing it around $299 won't sell well against the iPad Mini

i dont see where ipad mini pricing will fit... ipods go up to 300 dollars and ipads can start from 400 dollars depending on what version you get... iphones also go up to 399 depending on the version too...

True, Apple try to avoid N7 and make 7.85" iPad mini. If they want to compete with N7 they will make it 7" as 7" is ideal for small sized tablets.

$300 32GB N7 will work both for consumers and Google and Google can sell it at street stores as there is margin for retailers.

If the 16GB iPad Mini sells against the 32GB N7 @ $300, many people will choose the iPad Mini regardless of receiving half the space. The problem is that the N7 is known for value. Anything above $300 on the 32GB N7 would not sell well against other competing tablets. @ $250 for 32GB that would be a steal.

The iPad Mini fits perfectly! iPod and iPad are marketed towards two different individuals. iPod buyers are normally younger generation of small kids and teenagers that buy this devices for portable use. iPad's have become the essential personal and business choice for personal computing, checking email, etc.... Regardless if the iPod Touch's are priced higher than iPad's it won't interfere with their potential market audiences.

For once it's nice to see pricing going in the right direction, competitive targeting.

What they will most probably do is:

8GB = $169 (the 25$ voucher is gone, so they can lower the price by at least that)
16GB = $199 (equals the Fire HD)
32GB = $249

And if I had to guess, this will be announced on October 15 or 16 right before Apple's Ipad Mini reveal...

I will buy it if they included the Micro SD Slot and HDMI slot also....
