Smartphone companies are close in competition. But tablets, ipad is everything. I really dont see why people buy other tablets than these ipads. These other tablets are a joke. Seriously, theres nothing close to the experience of ipads. My god if you want to waste your money, buy an ipad. Not on those other garbage tablets. Well it wont be waste untill you own one.

I think you're forgetting the Nexus line of products.

That's your problem. YOU don't see why people buy other tablets. Your comment is narrow as hell. Typical comment where you don't understand the needs of others. Yea im gonna buy an ipad because a selfish neck beard told me to. I really actually want to use the openness of android but this neck beard on phonearena seems to know my needs better

Yeah* I'm* going to* iPad* Android* PhoneArena*

Don't get me wrong, I love the iPad Mini 2, but the Note 10.1 (2014) is the tablet I'd dish my money for.

Come on. Just admit that nothing is close to ipads. Just say it. Say it.. it is hard in the beginning but it will be a relief. Ipads are the best tablets. Thats just it. Android on smartphones are good, probably the best os. But on tablets??? Come on. Ios7 is just perfect for ipads. Im saying buy an ipad to give justice to your hard earned money. Not on those trying hard plasticky tablets.

I'm sorry but since when has the iPad (I giggle every time I think about it) have over 1000 pressure sensitive layers via a Wacom digitizer? Or when can iPad have multiple windows open at the same time. Or how about most every app on Play market works perfectly and seemlessly with a 4.1 or higher device, while some apps are optimized for tablets.

Or how about an awesome tablet that won't break your bank account (hello Nexus).

Sorry, Android on tablets is a worthy experience.

I'm not saying that iPads are bad. But just saying that Android has a lot to offer in the tablet world.

Man just give up. You're just another one of those fake android fans that like apple tablets. This is os we are talking about. Why down android on tablets yet praise them on phones. Pure nonsense

Why do you iPhoners get so excited when a survey is done in select areas or an area of the country and act like it's some sort of scripture that HAS to be true. That's like going to Alabama, asking the people there who their favorite college football team is, the majority of them saying it's BAMA, and then you assuming and or stating that it applies to the other 49 remaining states. It's ludicrous.

Um, the integration of Apple services (especially with iCloud to iPhones, Macs, and iPods), the iTunes Store, and better optimized tablet apps in the App Store maybe?

i still read the headline of article, and the article itself and keep coming to the same conclusion. 30% of the people answered they wanted something different than an ipad.
so ipad 32% other 30
now out of those 23% of people that were not sure yet .....
if you break the numbers down at same percentage.
maybe its like a total of 52% want apple ipad, and 48% want something else.
so with a few years lead in development and cost of advertising blitz that apple has .
its about 50-50 when consumers choose.
So, how do you spin this as a positive for apple?
Android based tablets with a sprinkle of windows 8 in there too show that people like the idea of choice.

I have come to peace with itunes. I'm a pc guy and I prefer to do the sorting on my own too but it's actually pretty powerful once you get the hang of it.
