Well, well, but what do we have here? It seems like T-Mobile is making good on its promise of having the Android 2.2 Froyo update ready and out to customers using the 3.5mm T-Mobile myTouch 3G and Fender Limited Edition.

We've already reported that T-Mobile expected to start rolling out the update starting on January 13th with the hopes of getting it to everyone by the time February 1st rolls along. Now we're finally getting the proof that everyone is waiting for as one lucky owner was blessed with the long awaited update. Actually, it's quite a profound moment for these owners who managed to stick close with their handsets as opposed to getting something newer. Additionally, it's not too often we find older handsets like these get the Froyo treatment in a decent amount of time.

So if you have yet to see that notification pop up on your handset, remember to be patient because it'll eventually come around. Look at the bright side, at least you're not like the Android 2.1 powered Motorola FLIPSIDE.

Old old old old old news. I got my mytouch 3G Froyo update ages ago. Like literally no jailbreak or anything they just sent me the update a long time ago.

Hey Rawrz....you most likely have the 2.5mm jack Mytouch, they already have their update. The 3.5mm is just getting updated now.

I don't get why if HTC can update these phones to Android 2.2, then why can't they upgrade the Sprint HTC Hero to Android 2.2?
