This year's pick is called New Year Countdown!! and it does exactly what you'd expect a New Year countdown app to do. However, it also offers some nice customization options to make the experience a bit more involving and cool. For example, you can set the app to count in years, months, days, hours, minutes, seconds or heartbeats.
