I'm #8. If someone calls me and doesn't leave a voice mail or a text, I tend not to call them back thinking it's not important or that perhaps they accidentally dialed my number.

Unrelated of course but I also discovered this today :) I'm using it now in fact and even sent an email to PhoneArena thanking them for doing this finally. Works great, been a long time coming.

Apparently the only one I'm guilty of would be the leaving it to charge over night deal. Of course I'm not going to get up in the middle of the f*ing night to unplug the damn thing to please some beatniks and the modern smartphone goes into trickle charge or better.
Also, if you own those water resistant phones I'd say talking in the rain shouldn't be a problem for them... =P

No. 7 is the most irritating thing of all. Am I the only victim to it?

I strongly disagree about #8. In fact in a world which has SMS, facebook and IM, I find voicemail to be useless and irritating. The notification for it won't go off until you open your voice mail, wait for the assistant to say the "Welcome to your voice mail blah blah blah, for incoming messages dial 1". Then dial 1. Then wait for the start of "From 054xxxxxxxxx. Received at xx:xx". Then dial 1 again, only to hear the sound of the other person breathing and coughing as the message itself because the person who was calling you hanged up after the beep. Then dial 2 to delete the message.
Irritating and annoying. And very very very much so.
Oh and before you wonder - NO - we do not have free visual voice mail where I live in.

I couldn't disagree with you more. The article states "no reason for the call". You can leave a message so many ways (text, FB, Twitter, VM, etc.), so to call and not leave anything is what's obnoxious.
Get an iPhone = visual voicemail.
Don't like iPhones? Get Google Voice.
I don't know about other people, but with Google Voice and iPhone visual voicemail, I haven't checked a voicemail by calling my number in a good 4 years.

New phones shut off power when the device is fully charged. so leaving them plugged-in all night won't damage their battery.

Reason #1 is crap... How many smartphones out there will work longer than a day on a charge? Any one I've had may only make it an hour or two into the next day before it shuts off.

I'm guilty of #5 because Verizon's 4G Lte network is faster than my home's Wi-Fi. Plus I’m too lazy to switch between the two haha. BTW talking on my phone while it's raining outside won't damage it, my DROID has liquid repellant nano-coating protecting it.

Number 1, i'm guilty
Chat overnight, went sleepy

I hate when having a convo, people get a text and won't allow one to finish thought/sentence before responding to the text. Very rude.
The text is going nowhere people.

#14. Obnoxious siriing
ex- you ask somebody whether they want to do something at 3:30 "Siri, what's my schedule today" or "Siri, what's the weather like"

No. 8 - Unable to transcribe message. Download? Yes. 3 seconds of silence.
No. 5 - I always plug in my phone when I get home so I never really think about it.

My girlfriend. #12
Her mom renewed their contract with Verizon and I shelled out the money to get her a Razr Maxx for her birthday. This is her first legit smartphone so naturally she's obsessed with it (weren't we all?)
Long story short.......I've yet to get laid this week :c not even for her birthday.

My friends and me do a lot of 1 word messages, I really don't see anything wrong with it, and I also do not see how you being a cheap ass and having a very limited texting plan is my problem hehe

I charge my phone overnight and don't use wifi because my phone can't connect to it, but other than that I'm apparently not too bad.

I'm really guilty of #1, #8, and #11 the most.
First of all, for #1, yes I do plug my phone in every night before bed, no matter what level my battery is on. Why.? Because the next day when I wake up, it's better safe than sorry to have a fully charged phone than a phone that probably needs to be charged when I head for the day. Also, it's not consumers fault that people can't hear the beep of a phone when it's done charging in a deep sleep. Maybe manufacturers should allow users to set the phone to turn off after it's done charging.? Just a thought.
Second, with #8, it really depends on the occasion of the call. After all, I'm pretty sure people will see that they have a missed call. If I'm calling, say a friend, just for idle chit chat, but they're not available, then there's no need for me to leave a message. However, if I feel that I called my friend for a specific reason and it's urgent, then I may leave a voicemail or shoot them a quick text.
Finally, with #11, IDK it's just a habit. I mean, right now, we don't really have traditional family dinners and I eat in my room majority of the time, so I'm good. :P
I also hate #7.! A one word text message, to me, makes it feel like the other person doesn't care about the conversation. It's especially annoying when the person texts you first, and you try to have a conversation with them, but they're just steady putting out these one word responses. Yeah, I have unlimited text, but even I feel like I'm wasting them. -_-
As for #5, I use Wi-Fi at home because Sprint 3G in this area is horrid. 0.07 Mpbs down and 0.01 Mpbs up.!? Seriously.? Wi-Fi is just SO much better and it really does make my phone's battery last longer.
30. Contreramanjaro posted on 24 May 2012, 01:14 0 0
I agree with your #1. I'd rather start the day with 100% battery and know that my alarm will go off rather than risking it. Sorry for your 3G speeds. I've always been spoiled on Sprint and get .8-1.1Mbps on 3G. I guess if I had your speeds I'd be a lot more pessimistic about the carrier.
