Depends on the developer really. Notice how most multiplatform apps look identical.

video editing on the phone? Pass. I'll just put them on my PC and edit using Vegas Movie Studio HD.

@downphoenix - use a cloud app like Clesh and you can edit on your phone AND your PC! Even better, when you upgrade your phone or PC, all your content is still available - as you get frame accurate editing with any PC web browser (and Mac) without needing to install the app.

The new tablets coming out will transform the mobile editing experience too. The Nexus 10 has the same resolution as my 30" Mac cinema screen - and has the latest and fastest ARM chips in it. This trend to mobile computing seems unstoppable.

Is it me - or is the AVID editor for IOS glaringly missing? That is a very capable editor.

I've tried an app for iOS called Cute CUT and I think it is one of the best out there. It is so versatile thus suitable for pro editing.
For simple & quick editing I recommend iMovie
