iOS is a wonderful platform, we all know that. However, even the unprecedented level of polish cannot prevent Apple's mobile operating system from looking somewhat stale...

No They want a Samsung phone....

Octacore cpu, great camera, great big screen, good battery life.
Those great specs are the reason why those phones are selling well.

Not Android.

If an iphone was ever seen running flash Steve Jobs would turn over in his grave again and cause another earthquake.

I think you're mistaken. I think we want iOS with Android features. You know... the stability and capability without the instability.

Year after year... they make a similar list asking for Android features over and over again...

C'mon just admit that iOS hold itself back, behind Android's innovation... this is getting ridiculous...

A lot of those features are really basic...

It's funny. I love my Note 2 and Windows phone but I can't get into an iPhone. I don't know why I just don't like the device. Maybe its just old hat but I feel I can change my Note 2 to whatever I want at anytime. I think the UI Themes would be the best feature next to quick hotkeys for things like WiFi and Bluetooth.

Since we already know Ray S. is biased he didn't title it: 10 ways Android is better then iOS

True, but these points really tell the weakness of iOS when compared to Android

Some of these are actually good ideas. Other seem kind of off putting for iOS. I don't see the big deal about iOS having widgets. It would be a sacrifice of system resources trying to keep a live widget running.

Flash support is pretty much dead and HTML5 is becoming the standard. Flash is losing support on Android. Another thing that kills resources and memory.

Some of the others are ok suggestions but this overall list are features that mostly aren't necessary for iOS.

In a very basic form iOS already has a live tile/widget implementation as far as the little numbers that show on your phone or messages to show you number of missed calls or text on your device. Surely you like having that feature instead of having to go into the apps each time you wanted to check for this. Surely you like having the notification center to give you listings for new emails, app notifications, etc. instead of having to check all these apps individually (which btw is a feature borrowed from Android). This just adds more convenience to the platform. Im sure there are ways to disable it if you want.

Well, let's see:
1. Unlikely to happen due to the current design philosophy. I would expect something like a number of new items on the icon and single tap would open more info (similar like folders)
2. Well, let's say I agree...
3. Why on Earth I would want it? Not even on a lock screen...
4. Agree.
5. This would be handy.
6. Not necessary
7. Not necessary
8. Crap
9. I don't find it such a great idea.
10. What? Why would I want to scroll within a folder like mad? I can do that now - just swipe to the left... Oh wait. It's not that clumsy :)

i really find your perceptions from no. 6 to 10 as extremely stupid.

6: Flash Support : Though not default in android still most people sideload it as it is NECESSARY

7: Nitro JS Engine : Apple should implement it as they are just wanting to kill competition which is not in good spirit of competition and hence is NECESSARY

8: UI Themes : Not everyone would like to stick with what the company gives as default, there really are huge masses of people who want to customize the look of thier phone and that is one of the main reason why Android is preferred more to iOS and hence this sure is not a CRAP as you say it.

9: Default Apps : Again no one wants to stick with the default things and if you want to use Google maps as default then why the hell would you want to open Addresses in Apple maps and hence this is a not just a GOOD IDEA but SOMETHING VERY NECESSARY.

10: Bigger Folders : Not everyone wants thier apps lying across Home Screens, this comes in handy for someone who wants to neatly organise thier apps and hence this is not MAD

6. Well, that is the point of view. I found only some pages that did not load on my WP due to missing Flash. It would piss me off if it wouldn't be supported on a tablet. But mobile?

7. Yet again. That's the logic of the system. It provides built in apps that work. It would be "nice" to install Chrome, but again - we are talking about the phone. I think you want the phone to be a computer.

8. I do understand your point. But my wife's HTC is a living proof that customization could go terribly wrong. Slow, crashing, but colorful.

9. No one means who? I have asked iPhone users around me (there are a lot of them) and guess what no one cares because it works.

10. I get the organizational part, but I really don't get the idea of having to scroll "for ages" to find what I am looking for. It's wasting time. On my old iPod I have games sorted in folders by genre. Each of them contains 5-6 games. I bet my ass I would find any game faster than you by scrolling in the folder.

Sidenote: Get an iPhone as you are Blind or Apple made you that way,

Bye and i would not respond to you however you TROLL, and yeah, you really have a great brain, KEEP IT UP!! :D

I think that they are going to reserve the notifications bar for "widgets" and allow icons for settings, so customers would have a dedicated settings home screen. Would make it look IOS and not an Android copycat.

And I hope they don't adopt the widgets/apps on lockscreen idea. 2 layers of widgets, and 3 layers of apps including the app drawer. How about a different launcher for each function too?

So like seriously, in 2013 we have an OS that lacks all this features? I think any phone fanning this OS should never be compared to android phone no matter. Period!
