since mine has been working great, better than expected actually, i will await the official release of the new software updates from VZW before taking any gambles. I am interested in seeing what this fixes.

Seriously Godfather. Why do ppl jump the gun and feel the need to be a 'beta' tester if they don't need to be. Just be patient!! Read the thread on the .83 upgrade. Learn from it.

has any one used the new update? anything good? also do you know if you must have a previous update to take advantage of a new one? I just got my Storm, have not activated it YET.. and I am waiting to hear what will happen next. Any one know if their is a way to stay with Verizon, but NOT use the e-mail option and not be charged the extra $30.00 per month service on top of the actuall contaract that we have?? please advise. thank you.

Sorry tk. You HAVE to have the email option with all Blackberry devices and all new PDAs. With RIM, VZW has a contract stating that all BB users HAVE to get the Email/Web plans. As for non-BB PDAs, not sure WHY you HAVE to get the data. Good for sales reps, annoying for customers. I do know that some ppl want the Omnia for the wifi but now you have wifi AND EVDO coverage.

thanks for the info T-Money3000. I did try the Omnia and I hated that phone. I think it was because of the Windows base OS. and also I did not like the keyboard, to small. I actally like the keyboard on the LG Dare much better than the Omnia. at this moment I have the Palm 755P and I like it allot. some issues here and there but over all it is a good phone. but the Omnia was bad over all including recepton regardless of how you hold the phone. Again, many thanks for the info about the Web and the E-mail.

why would samsung put the antenna on the bottom of the phone if thats where people's hands are then! and no i wasnt touching anyone of them. it went in a line, storm, curve, omnia. storm and curve 4 bars, omnia 2! so someone give me a real answer as to why there are less bars for the omnia! haha lol

its secretly an att phone infiltrating the network. nah, its just where you put your hand. samsungs for some reason generally have a weaker antenna for some reason. and yes, putting it on the bottom of the phone is silly. i have the omnia on a free trial. its pretty nice as far as browsing and customizing. i still preferr a blackberry though. i do sell quite a bit of omnias which is new for a windows phone.

installed my copy and running pretty good actually a little buggy here and there but it's a good road to improvement i mean heck when i had my iphone it seemed like they were fixing that thing all the time too with new updates and all which is to be expected among all high end devices.

Funny how all you VZW fanboys complained non-stop about how the iPhone must be a piece with all the updates coming out and look at your precious Storm.... Mmmmm Hmmmm...
