This is such a joke. How can you claim ownership of simple gestures? I really hope this gets challenged somehow. I mean, how do you patent a finger swipe?!

I agree. I don't see how this can be so appealing when you have to pay for internet AND monthly service on this thing

I have downloaded the update and so far have had mixed results. Immediately after the update I had problems even booting my phone up. It would load to the home screen and after a few seconds freeze at the VZW screen. I had to do a soft reset 7 times to get it to come back! Yes, web browsing is slightly faster, as is the accelerometer, but for no reason the phone will start to lag and I will have to reboot it. I'm not sure if I'll revert back or not, but they better get some fixes done soon

OK, besides the fanboy talk, just found out that VZW is delaying this, so it's not gonna work right now. Yes, the Voyager will need a s/w flash to get it to work. No ETA as to when it's gonna be available again, but hopefully soon

I completely agree with a1016neo. If this is truly going to be an iPhone killer they really need to step up the bar, both on VZW and RIM's end. Yeah, it has a touchscreen, but so do a multitude of other phones now. That alone won't make it great. The UI needs to be open and customizable, and so far they haven't faltered from that on their existing phones. As for business customers, I think they'll flock to this phone. The touch interface should make for easier navigation and data entry. I really hope they don't screw this one up too badly

Yeah, this was a big disappointment for me. I work in a store and was able to crack this phone open a few days ago. The phone definitely feels cheap, the UI alterations are slightly frustrating, and the lack of Wi-Fi is extremely moronic. All in all I think they could have done a better job with this offering, especially in the multimedia area. Nice try, but I'll wait until the next offering to dive into a new phone
